About Us
New Grass is a post-hardcore trio from Chicago, IL, USA.
New Grass began as Lucio's solo project, leveraging some unused riffs that were intended for his college band, Guillemet, back in 2011-2013. Bryan was also in Guillemet. Lucio self-published New Grass, Fake Drums in 2015.
In 2020, Zegema Beach Records asked New Grass to release Fake Drums. Lucio included new material, which became the December 2021 release, a double EP 12" Scordatura Perforations.
Since 2022, New Grass is now a live trio, with Bryan on drums and Luke on bass. We are based in Chicago, IL, USA, and recently released our EP 4x New Grass, recorded at Electrical Audio with Seth Engel.
